As Christ followers, we believe that we are called to be generous people. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a part of what God already generously has given us. We believe that with God, there is as much receiving as there is giving. And we are thankful for the resources with which we are entrusted through God’s provision to each of you.
At TE we have several ways that you can give. You can give in the offering on Sundays, or you can mail your offering to our PO Box.

The means of Christian giving.
A. We give of the “means” of what God has entrusted to us.
1. “as God has prospered us” – 1 Cor. 16:2close1 Corinthians 16:2
2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. (ESV)

2. “according to what a man has” – 2 Cor. 8:11,12close2 Corinthians 8:11
11 So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.
2 Corinthians 8:12
12 For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. (ESV)

B. Christian giving is not giving “beyond our means.”

Boasting About Tomorrow
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (ESV)
